Frequently asked questions

Will my PDF look exactly the same?
Not necessarily. This version extracts text and preserves page breaks, but complex layouts, tables, columns and formatting may change.

Why is no text extracted from my scanned PDF?
A scanned document is often made of page images rather than selectable text. It needs OCR before conversion.

Is my PDF uploaded to HoxTools?
This page processes the selected PDF in your browser. It does not send the document to a HoxTools conversion server. The required JavaScript libraries are loaded from external CDNs.
